Umrah Steps & Benefits

Strengthen Your Spiritual Connection with the Leading Umrah Agency in BD

Often called the “lesser pilgrimage,” Umrah offers a transformative journey that transcends physical boundaries to touch the soul. Unlike the time-bound Hajj, believers perform this deeply personal act of devotion year-round. The pilgrimage provides a sacred space to cleanse the heart, seek forgiveness, and reconnect with Allah within the Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

Practicing rituals like Tawaf and Sa’i alongside millions fosters profound humility. These acts remind us that all believers stand equal, regardless of nationality or status. Beyond spiritual rewards, Umrah serves as a catalyst for self-reflection and gratitude, inspiring a renewed purpose. In a divided world, this pilgrimage remains a timeless symbol of the eternal bond tying the global Muslim Ummah together in faith.

Ultimately, the journey of Umrah acts as a bridge between the temporary distractions of daily life and a lasting spiritual awakening. As pilgrims return to their homes, they carry with them more than just memories; they bring back a fortified sense of patience and a heart softened by divine proximity. This “lesser pilgrimage” thus becomes a major turning point, empowering the individual to integrate the values of the sanctuary peace, discipline, and absolute sincerity into their personal and professional lives.

Step by Step Umrah Guide

Umrah serves as a profound act of worship, allowing Muslims to honor Allah (SWT) through a journey of faith. Following the Sunnah and teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW), believers visit the House of Allah (SWT) at any time of the year. While scholars often call Umrah the “minor pilgrimage” to distinguish it from Hajj, the “greater pilgrimage,” the ritual still carries immense virtue. This sacred journey offers pilgrims a unique opportunity to seek mercy and strengthen their connection with the Creator.

Set Your Intention & Enter Ihram: Before reaching Makkah, form your Niyyah (intention) within your heart. Enter the state of Ihram (ritual purity). Men must wear two white cloths- one wrapped around the shoulder and one around the waist. Women may wear their choice of clothing while observing the rules of Hijab.

Recite the Talbiyyah: Proclaim your presence to Allah by reciting the Talbiyyah. Men should recite this loudly (without disturbing others), while women should recite it softly:

Labbayka llāhumma labbayk(a), labbayka lā sharīka laka labbayk(a), inna l-ḥamda wa n-ni’mata, laka wa l-mulk(a), lā sharīka lak.

Perform Tawaf (7 Times): Walk around the Kaaba seven times in an anti-clockwise direction. This act serves as a principal rite of your pilgrimage.

Pray at Maqam-e-Ibrahim: Offer two units of prayer behind or near Maqam-e-Ibrahim. Keep your head uncovered during this prayer.

Drink Zamzam Water: Proceed to the Zamzam well. Face the Kaaba and drink the water while standing. Remember that Allah fulfills the intention you make while drinking this water.

Perform Sa’i: Walk and run between the two hills of Safa and Marwa. This seven-stage journey follows the completion of your Tawaf.

Shave or Trim Hair: Conclude this stage of the pilgrimage within the boundaries of the Haram. You must either shave your head (Halaq) or trim your hair (Qasr).
